we are a licensed café, shop & neighbourhood bistro nestled in trinity, north Edinburgh. We offer a selection of homemade food - made on-site from our wee kitchen along with good coffee and carefully selected wines for sitting in or taking away.
born from a passion for cuisine and hospitality, we pride ourselves on a dedication to honest ingredients and good produce. our ethos is cooking delicious homemade food from scratch. we work with a small number of local suppliers and aim to use the best that each season has to offer.
we thrive to create a welcoming space for our neighbours and customers, preserving the tradition of mealtimes and good company.

we are open thursday to monday including dinner, bites and drinks on friday and saturday evenings.
about us
the deli is the realisation of the long-held ambition of wife-and-husband proprietors anne and will. la cîme – pronounced “seam” – is named for anne’s childhood address in france and brings the flavours and traditions of the gorgeous lozère region to will’s hometown of edinburgh.
every step of anne and will’s journey and careers has paved the way for their true passion – now come to fruition – in the establishment of la cîme deli.
both their heritage has organically shaped their love of food and wine. from anne’s earliest memories learning to cook in her parent’s and grandparent’s kitchen – to the enshrined ritual of sunday lunch at will’s granny’s house, the communal power of food and cooking has always been a shared passion of theirs.
anne and will are natural hosts and thoroughly enjoy seeing our guests spending quality time at our tables.
wine events
each month we host an exclusive wine evening on a friday night. this comprises of a full four course menu with matching wine. each event is themed around a region or wine topic and is accompanied with explanations throughout the evening.
these events commence at 18:30.

private dining
la cîme provides a unique and personal space for your celebration.
Exclusive use of the space can be organised in the evening for between 8 to 12 guests with a bespoke menu to suit your event. Please contact us for any inquiries.
the pantry
you can find on our shelves a selection of homemade products for sale; Anne’s family pork and liver paté being one of them!
We are also offering a beautiful selection of jams using fruits from the family owned farm Pittormie in Fife, as well as our own vegan granola and spicy ketchup.
our selection of wine has been carefully curated and is available to enjoy with your meal at the café or take away to enjoy at home.
We are proud to work with our suppliers and you will be able to find some of their products on our shelves too.
